SAIPA’s board of directors is happy to announce that Mark Davids is joining the SAIPA team as of January 22nd. Mark will be transitioning into the Executive Director position, taking over for Sharon Rempel. So, if you see a new face or hear a new voice on the phone starting January 22nd, make sure to introduce yourself as Mark is looking forward to meeting everyone while taking on his new role!
Mark worked previously with the Taber Special Needs Society as their Community Access Program team leader and later as their Supportive Employment Program coordinator. Mark brings a wealth of experience about working with individuals with developmental disabilities and feels passionate about the support that SAIPA provides to self advocates in the community. In fact, some of you may already know Mark as he has been involved in many community activities in Taber and Lethbridge.
Mark looks forward to starting his new position and has remarked that he is “excited to be here and feeling lucky to be part of a team of people who believe in their work.”
